"Heavy Rain and Strong Wind-Wave in Southern Thailand"

During 13-15 January 2012, the easterly wave move across lower southern Thailand with low cell will cover Malaysia and lower southern Thailand while scattered to fairly widespread rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely from Chumphon southward. The disaster areas include: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla during 13-15 January 2011. People in the risky areas along foothills near waterways should beware of flash flood. These areas are as follows: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. The strong wind-waves in the Gulf of Thailand are expected 2-4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats stay ashore.
The westerly trough will move across Northern Thailand. Drop in temperature occurs over the upper portion of northern Thailand during the period.
