Weather Forecast During 15-16 Jan, The high pressure covers upper Thailand and the westerly trough move across the North, the Central and the Northeast. These cause rain and cool weather with 2-4 oC drops in upper Thailand while cold to very cold and isolated frost likely on the high mountainous. The easterly wave across the Gulf and the lower South affect much of rainfall with heavy to very heavy rain is expected from Chumphon southward. Strong wind-wave is likely about 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf of Thailand.
During 17-21, this high pressure area over Thailand is weakening but cool weather and morning fog with thick patches in some places are likely in upper Thailand. Decreasing in rainfall is expected in the South with 2 meters of high in the lower Gulf of Thailand during the period.
Warning During this period, people in the upper north Thailand should take care of your health due to cool weather and all vehicles should beware of low visibility. During 15 -16 Jan, people in the lower South from Chumphon southward beware of flooding conditions. All ships in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
