The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast. An active southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rain are likely over the country. People in risky areas of Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Phare, Nan, Lampang, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket should beware of flooding. Strong wind-waves are 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small ships in the Andaman Sea keep ashore during 28-29 May.
