General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The monsoon trough across the North and the upper Northeast and the active southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf affect abundant rain and isolated heavy rain over the country. People in risky areas should beware of flooding. The areas include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga, and Krabi. The strong wind-waves are 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore today (29 May 2012).

During 30 May - 1 June, the monsoon trough and the southwest monsoon then cause decreasing rainfall overall country, except for the North while the wind wave will weaken.

Central Part Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani,

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters off-shore.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong, Phang-nga and Krabi.
