General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf affects scattered to fairly widespread rain over Thailand and isolated heavy fall in the Northeast and the East. People in risky areas should beware of heavy rain. The areas include Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnart Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Chanthaburi and Trat. The strong wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore during 19-21 June 2012.

At 4.00 a.m. today (Jun 19), tropical storm “TALIM” was centered east of Hainan, China or at latitude 19.3 ?N and longitude 113.8 ?E with maximum sustained winds about 85 km/hr. The storm was moving northeastward slowly to Taiwan island and had no effect on Thailand.
