General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The monsoon trough across Myanmar, Laos and upper Vietnam and the strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand affect scattered to fairly widespread rain over the upper Thailand. The wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during 2-3 August.
Tropical storm “SAOLA” has made landfall over Fujian, and typhoon “Damrey” is making landfall over Shandhong, China. They have no effect on Thailand.
