"Tropical Storm “KAI-TAK”"

At 04.00 LST on 17 August, typhoon “KAI-TAK, due 200 kilometers east of Hainan, China, or latitude 20.5 degree north longitude 112.3 degree east, with sustained winds about 120 kilometers per hour, was moving west-northwest at speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
It is expected to make landfall over Hainan today morning (17 August) affecting increasing in rainfalls over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rain especially over the North and the Northeast of Thailand during 17-19 August.
The strong wind-waves are likely in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships take more caution during 1-2 days.
