General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The monsoon trough lies across the North and upper Northeast to low pressure cell over South China Sea, and the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. These affect scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Thailand.

Typhoon “TAMBIN” is moving to Taiwan and expected make landfall over Taiwan this morning ( 24 Aug 2012). Traveler will go to Taiwan check the weather before departure.

Northern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan and Phetchabun.

Northeastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Loei, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin and Ubon Ratchathani.

Westerly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Central Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi,

Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan and Lopburi.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Eastern Part Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok,

Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo and Trad.
