General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of high pressure area extends to upper portion of Thailand affecting the intense monsoon trough over the lower North and the Northeast. This trough will lie across the Central and the East during 14-15 September, and the strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain is likely over the country with heavy to very heavy in somewhere of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the upper South. People should beware of severe condition during 14-18 September. The wind waves in Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand are expected about 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.
Typhoon “SANBA”, centered east of Philippines with maximum sustained wind about 200 km/hr, is moving near Okinawa Island, Japan during 15-16 September and has no effect on Thailand.
