General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of high pressure remains over upper Thailand affecting the active monsoon trough across the Central and the East. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain remains with heavy to very heavy rain in somewhere of the Central, the East and the upper South. People should beware of severe condition. The wind waves are expected about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution during 17-18 September.

Typhoon “SANBA” in the eastern China Sea and southeastern Jeju, South Korea with maximum sustained wind about 155 km/hr, is forecast to move to the Korean peninsula by 17 September.

Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, and Phichit.

Central Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain

in Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Nakhon Pathom.

Eastern Part Widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in

Nakhon Nayok, Sa Kaeo, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Phetchaburi,

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong and Phang-nga.
