"Tropical Cyclone “GAEMI”"

At 01.00 LST, on 8 October 2012, tropical depression “GAEMI” downgraded to an active low pressure cell and at 04.00 LST, the low pressure covered Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri and Chachoengsao. It is expected to move along the monsoon trough covering the Central. Torrential rain and isolated heavy rain are likely in the East, the Central and the upper South. People should beware of severe weather condition during 1-2 days. The areas include Sa Kaeo, Prachin Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Bangkok and Vicinity, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Phatom, Suphanburi, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkham, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Phetchaburi.
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf. Torrential rain and isolated heavy rain are likely in the South West Coast. The wind waves in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution during 1-2 days.
