Weather Forecast At 0700 a.m. LST, today (7 Oct), tropical storm “GAEMI” over Cambodia downgraded to tropical depression is moving to the East of Thailand tonight and it will become to a low pressure cell over the lower Central and the upper South of Thailand later. These cause torrential rain with heavy to very heavy of the lower Northeast, the lower Central, the East and the upper Southern Thailand during 7-9 Oct. The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand will be intensifying. The stronger wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea.
During 10-13 Oct, the high pressure area from China will extend to the upper part of the North and the Northeast of Thailand. Thundershower is expected at the beginning and then cools in the morning. The monsoon trough will lie across the lower Central and the East and the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Scattered rain and isolated heavy is expected in the areas. The wind waves are likely 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea.
Warning During 7-9 Oct, people in the risky areas of the lower Northeast, the lower Central, the East and the upper South should beware of heavy to very heavy rain. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution.
