General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 0100 a.m. today, tropical depression over the lower South China Sea was centered about 150 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam or at latitude 9.5 N and longitude 108.0 E with maximum sustained wind about 55 km/hr. It is moving west-northwest slowly to pass the tip of Indochina to the upper Gulf during 16-17 November and Andaman Sea by 18 November. During 15-18 November, more rain is expected in the lower Northeast, the Central, the East and the South of Thailand and, especially, isolated heavy fall is likely in the upper South mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon. The stronger wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high in the Gulf of Thailand.
Another ridge of strong high pressure will cover the upper country on 17 November 2012 causing cool with strong wind over the North and the Northeast.
