Weather Forecast During 18-21 Dec, the nearly active high pressure area from China extends to upper Thailand and the South China Sea and the upper level westerly winds prevail over the North. Cooler with 1-3 C drops is likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East while isolated frost occur on the mountaintops in the North.
After that during 22-24 Dec, another active high pressure area from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cold and windy with minimum temperature below 16 C will generally in many places of the North and the Northeast. Isolated frost remains on the mountaintops in the North.
Scattered to fairly widespread rain are expected in the South throughout this period with isolated heavy rain mainly in the lower South especially during 19-24 Dec. strong wind wave in the lower Gulf of Thailand with 2-3 meters high.
Warning During this period, people in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East should take care healthy from cool weather. During 19-24 Dec, people in the lower South should beware of heavy rain and all ships in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat downward should proceed with caution.
