General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The moderate high pressure from China covers upper Thailand. Cool weather and morning fog with isolated thick patches is likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East of Thailand.
The rather strong easterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the South. Scattered rain and isolated heavy rain is likely in the lower South with the stronger wind-waves with 2-3 meter high in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani downward. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the areas keep ashore.
Another active high pressure area from China will extend to upper Thailand during 23-25 Dec 2012. Cooler weather with 4-6 C drops is expected over upper Thailand. More rain is expected in the South and strong wind-waves in the Gulf of Thailand.
