General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The active high pressure from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool to cold weather in general by 1-2 C drops and windy in upper Thailand. The temperature below 16 C covers many parts of the upper Northeast.. The northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the South has strengthened leading to abundant rain and isolated heavy rain in the lower South. The wind waves in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat downward with 2-3 meters high. People along the lower South East Coast should beware of high wave inshore. All ships in the areas should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore during 1-2 days.
The tropical storm “SONAMU” in Sulu Sea of the Philippines. It is expected move to the middle South China Sea today morning. This storm has no effect on Thailand during this period.
