General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The high pressure over upper Thailand and the South China Sea weakens leading to an increase in temperature with fog in the morning, except that cool to cold weather remains in the North. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South, and a low pressure cell covers the lower South China Sea. Scattered rain occurs over the lower South from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward.
During 10-12 January, another high pressure area from China will cover the upper country and the South China Sea bringing cooler weather by 2-4 C drop in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East.
