General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The nearly active high pressure extends to upper Thailand and the South China Sea with the westerly trough prevailing across the North during 29-31 January. Thundershowers and gust occurs first following with cooler weather dropping to 2-4 C in upper Thailand. People in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East should beware of severe condition. Due to the changeable weather during 28-31 January, they are advised to take care of themselves.
The northeast monsoon across the Gulf of Thailand and the South will intensify today leading to more rain with the stronger wind waves in the Gulf. All ships in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat downward should proceed with caution during 28-31 January.
