General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of strong high pressure from China is forecast to approach upper Thailand where hot during the day occur today. Thunderstorms with gust dropping to 3-5 C are expected affecting first the Northeast and the eastern North, and then the rest of the country. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions during 20-23 February. Besides, the northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the southern country will intensify from 21 February causing more rain over the South and stronger winds and waves in the Gulf.

The active low pressure cell over the Philippines will move to the South China Sea by 21 February.
