General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The active high pressure from China extends its ridge to the Northeast of Thailand. Thundershowers are expected in some areas of upper Thailand. The northeast monsoon over the lower Gulf and the south of Thailand will strength by today. More rain is likely with isolated heavy rainfall especially during 23-25 February. The stronger winds wave with 2-3 meters high is expected in the lower Gulf. People should beware heavy rain, all ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

At 0400 a.m. today, tropical depression in the lower South China centered at latitude 6.0 degree north and longitude 110.0 degree east with maximum sustained wind about 55 km/hr. It is moving westward with speed 18 or km/hr and expected to nearly coastal of Malaysia during 23-24 February.

Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (East Coast) Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Upper Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat upward: northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters.

Lower Gulf from Songkhla downward: northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Isolated thundershowers mostly in the lower part.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 33-34 C.

Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.

Metropolitan Mist in the morning. Hot during the day and widely scattered thundershowers.
