General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The nearly active high pressure area from China remains over the Central and East of Thailand causing summer thunderstorms in the upper part of the country, as well as thunderstorm, gust and some hail especially in the North. Widespread rain is likely in the Northeast, the Central and the East. Peoples in the North should beware of severe conditions by 4 March.

During 4-5 March, the stronger easterly winds triggers widely to scattered rain over the South and waves about 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf. All ships should take extra caution.

Northern Part Cloudy with fairly widespread thunderstorm, isolated heavy rain, gust and hail

mostly in Chiangmai, Chiangrai, Phayao, Nan, Uttaradit, Tak, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 20-24 C. Maximum temperature 32-37 C.

Southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Cloudy and scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain

mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani,

Nakhon Ratchasima and Chaiyaphum.

Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 27-31 C.

Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.

Central Part Cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers. Isolated heavy rain with gust

mostly in Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi and Ayutthaya.

Minimum temperature 22-24 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C.

Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr.

Eastern Part Cloudy with fairly widespread thundershower. Isolated heavy rain with gust

mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chon Buri, Rayong and Chanthaburi.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

Southerly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.

Southern Part (East Coast) Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi,

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat.

Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

From Surat Thani upward: southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Wave height about 1 meter.

From Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: easterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Isolated thundershowers mostly in Trang and Satun.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C.

Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.

Metropolitan Cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.
