General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong southwest monsoon still prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. There remain torrential rain and isolated heavy falls over the East and the South. People especially in Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket should beware of the severe conditions. The wind waves continue strong with 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and shore line of the East. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore until 20 June.
The tropical storm “Leepi” over the nearly eastern Philippines is forecast to departure for Japan with no effect on Thailand. People should be advise when travel to Philippines, Taiwan and Japan during the period.
