General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, and a low pressure cell over the central South China Sea cause more rain overall country and isolated heavy falls likely especially in Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket. People in the areas should beware of the severe conditions. The strong wind waves are expected 2-4 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea while shore line of the East has 2-3 meters. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore until 23 June.

The tropical storm “Leepi” over northeastern Formosa is forecast to move to Japan with no effect on Thailand. People are advised to check the weather forecast before their departure.
