General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 01.00 a.m. (21 June), the active low pressure in the upper South China Sea has upgraded to the tropical depression and at 04.00 a.m. today (21 June) at latitude 17.5 degree north and longitude 117.5 degree east with maximum sustained wind about 30 knots or 55 km/hr, was moving north slowly. It is expected will make landfall to southern China during 22-23 June, 2013. It will affect to Thailand directly.
The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand cause more rain and isolated heavy rain over the North, the Northeast, the western portion of the Central, the East and the upper South. The strong wind waves are expected 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea while shore line of the East has about 2 meters. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore until 23 June.
