Weather Forecast During 30 Jul - 1 Aug, the active monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast.The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Central and the East. Torrential rain, as well as isolated heavy rain, is expected over the North, the Northeast and the East. During 2 - 5 Aug, the tropical depression that formed over the South China Sea trends to cover the Bay of Tonkin and make landfall on the Vietnamese shoreline. It is forecast to decline to an active low pressure before triggering its impact on the upper parts of Laos and Thailand. During this period the impact of the southwest monsoon remains in the areas while the south receives more rain.
During 2 - 3 Aug, the tropical depression is expected to develop into the tropical storm.
Warning During 3-5 Aug, people in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the upper south should beware of heavy rain. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution.
