Weather Forecast Weather Forecast During 13-14 Aug, the stronger southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rain is likely in the Central, the East and the South. After that during 15-19 Aug, the monsoon trough will lie across the North and the upper Northeast while the active southwest monsoon remains over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain is expected over upper Thailand with isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the North and the upper Northeast. The wind wave in the Andaman and the Gulf of Thailand are likely 2-3 meters high throughout the period.
Typhoon “UTOR” over the upper South China Sea is forecast to make landfall at the upper Hainan Island, China on 14 Aug.
Warning Warning During 13-15 Aug, people in the Central, the East and the South should beware of heavy rain and during 15-19 Aug, the people in the North and the upper Northeast should beware of heavy to very heavy rain. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution throughout the period.
