General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 04.00 a.m. today (15 August), tropical storm “UTOR” downgraded from typhoon over western of Guangdong, China was centered at Latitude 22.6 degree north and Longitude 110.8 degree east, with maximum sustained winds about 95 km/hr. It is moving northwest slowly. It will downgrade to tropical depression and low pressure cell respectively. All travelers will go to southern China, Macau and Hong Kong advised to follow the weather forecast before their departure.
The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf
of Thailand. Abundant rain and isolated heavy rain are likely in the East and the South West Coast. People in Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong and Phang-nga should beware of heavy rain. The wind wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf is likely 2-3 meters. All ships in the areas should proceed with caution during this period.
