General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 4.00 a.m. LST 18 September, the tropical depression in the coastal area of Vietnam was centered about 300 kilometers east of Da Nang, Vietnam or latitude 16.0 degree North, longitude 112.0 degree East. It is moving west slowly with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. It is forecast to develop into the tropical storm to make landfall over middle Vietnam tomorrow.
The storm is also expected to pass Laos PDR through Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand on 20 September.
More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the eastern Northeast and the East during 18-21 September.
Tropical storm USAGI in the western Philippines trends to move to Taiwan and eastern China during 21-22 September. This storm has no significant impact on Thailand.
