General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 4.00 a.m. LST on 15 October, typhoon “NARI” is centered near the coast of Da Nang, Vietnam or at 16.0 degree North and 108.8 degree East with maximum sustained winds about 120 km/hr. It is moving west at speed of 15 km/hr to make landfall this morning on 15 October. It then will downgrade to a tropical storm and tropical depression, respectively. On 16 October, the storm will become a low pressure cell over northeastern Thailand. More rain is expected with windy over the Northeast and the East of Thailand. Significant impacts are expected to occur in the following provinces, namely, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Si Saket and Ubon Ratchathani.
During 16-19 October, another rather strong high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand leading to cool weather with 2-4 ?C drop and in the North and the upper Northeast.
