General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong high pressure remains over Thailand leading cool to cold weather over the country with isolated frost on the mountaintops in the North and the Northeast. Another strong high pressure over central China will extend to cover upper Thailand during 21-23 Jan. The temperature in most upper part of the country will drop a further 2-4 ?C.
The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the South and the Gulf of Thailand causing 2-3 meters of wave height in the Gulf. People living along the shoreline should beware of inshore wave. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore during 20-23 January.
