General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of rather strong high pressure covers the Northeast of Thailand. It will extend to the upper country while hot to very hot weather occurs. In addition, the westerly trough will move from Myanmar to the North and the Northeast during 4-7 April. Summer thunderstorms, as well as thunderstorm, gust and isolated hail are expected over the areas. The affected areas are shown periodically:
1. On 4 April, the provinces include Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Mukdahan, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Saket, Surin, Buri Ram and Nakhon Ratchasima.
2. During 4-5 April, the provinces include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Lamphun, Lampang, Nan, Phrae, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, Phichit, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chai Nat, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Bangkok and its vicinity.
3. During 6-7 April, the provinces include Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima.
People in above areas should beware of the summer thunderstorms that lead to the loss of lives and properties. Beside, the low pressure over the Malaca Strait causes abundant rain and isolated heavy in southern Thailand west coast.

Scattered thunderstorm with gust mostly in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao,
Nan, Lumphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok and
Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 21-26 C.
Maximum temperature 34-38 C. Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Northeastern Part Scattered thunderstorm with isolated gust and hail
mostly in Loei, Nong Bua Lumphun, Chaiyaphum, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen,
Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Saket, Surin,
Buri Ram and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.
Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Central Part Hot with haze during the day. Scattered thunderstorm with gust
mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri, Sara Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya,
Suphanburi and Kanchanaburi. Minimum temperature 26-28 C.
Maximum temperature 36-38 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern Part Hot with haze during the day. Scattered thundershowers and gust mostly in
Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Keao, Chanthaburi and Trat.
Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C.
Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.
Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy. Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in
Phatthalung, Songkhla,
Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.
Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy. Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain
mostly in Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 25-26 C.
Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and about 2 meters in thundershower areas.
Metropolitan Hot with haze during the day and 40% chance of rain.
