General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand lead to inshore winds. The wind waves are likely 3-5 meters high in the Andaman Sea and 2-4 meters high in the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore until 14 July. Thailand will have more rain, as well as isolated heavy rain, especially in the upper North, the South West coast and the East. People should beware of heavy rain.
During 9-10 July, Typhoon “NEOGURI” over the Pacific Ocean will move near Japan with no effect on Thailand. Travelers should check and follow the weather forecast before leaving for Japan.
