Weather Forecast Weather Forecast: During 7-8 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across upper Myanmar, Laos and upper Vietnam, and the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers are likely over Thailand and isolated heavy rain in the upper North, the Northeast the East and the South West Coast.
During 9-13 Aug, this monsoon trough is weakening as will as the southwest monsoon over the Andaman, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will weak. Scattered rain is expected over Thailand.
The wind wave with about 2 meters high is likely in the upper Andaman Sea throughout the period.
Typhoon “HALONG” over the Pacific Ocean is forecast to move to Japan during 7-10 August. This storm is no effect on Thailand.
Warning During 7-8 Aug, people in the upper North, the Northeast, the East and the South West Coast should beware of heavy rain. All vessels in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution.
