General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The monsoon trough across the North and the Northeast of Thailand and the southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand cause scattered to fairly widespread rain over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South West Coast. People should beware of the severe condition due to heavy rain. The areas include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Loei, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, Yasothon, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Amnat Charoen, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
During 26-28 August, the monsoon trough will strengthen to bring more rain, as well as heavy rain much of the country.
