General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time Tropical storm “KALMAEGI” downgraded to tropical depression and low pressure cell respectively. At 04.00 a.m. LST on 18 September, This storm cover upper LAOS and Myanmar with dissipate rapidly. Rainfall is still expected, as well as especially heavy rains some of the North and the Northeast. People in the areas should beware of heavy rain and windy. The areas include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani and Sakon Nakhon.
The active southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain with heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the East and the South. People in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Chumphon, Phang-nga, Phuket and Krabi should beware of the heavy rain and collective rainfall. The strong wind waves in upper Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are likely 2-4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore trough 19 September.
