General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The high pressure from China extends to the upper North and the Northeast of Thailand. Decreasing rain and fog in the morning is likely over upper Thailand. The monsoon trough lies across the upper South and the Gulf of Thailand will weaken. Scattered to fairly widespread rain and isolated heavy rain remain in the East and the South. The provinces include Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket and Krabi. People should beware of severe condition due to collective rainfall. Strong wind and waves are expected 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore during 8-9 October.
Tropical depression over the upper Andaman Sea is moving to the upper Bay of Bengal by today (8 Oct). It is expected to move to India and has no effect on Thailand.
