General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The weak high pressure from China covers the upper North and the Northeast of Thailand. Cool with fog are likely in the morning as well as isolated light rain over the upper country. Scattered rain is expected in the lower Central, the East and the upper South due to the monsoon trough across the areas. Heavy rain occurs some of the following provinces: Ratchaburi, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. People should beware of severe condition due to collective rainfall. The weaken wind and waves are likely about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution.
During 11-15 October, another rather strong high pressure from China will extend to the North and the Northeast of Thailand. Thundershowers with isolated gust are expected first and then 3-5 oC drops. The strong monsoon trough across the South and the Gulf will affect more rain with heavy some of the South.
Tropical Cyclone “HUDHUD” (03B) over the Bay of Bengal is forecast to track northwest to India during 12-13 October. Typhoon “Vongfong” over the Pacific is forecast to move northwest to southern Japan during 12-13 October. All travelers should follow the weather forecast before their departure.
