Weather Forecast During 8-11 Dec, the strong high pressure area from China remains over upper Thailand. Cool weather, slight drop in temperature is likely in the upper Thailand. And cold weather in the upper North and the Northeast. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and southern Thailand. Widely scattered to scattered thundershower is expected in the South. During 12-14 Dec, a rather strong northeast monsoon will extend to cover upper Thailand. Temperature drops 2-3 C with windy are expected in the northeast. The northeast monsoon prevailing the Gulf and southern Thailand will strengthen causing scattered thundershower in the areas, wave height from Surat Thani downward 2-3 meters.
Downgraded from the typhoon, tropical storm “HAGUPIT” located over the middle of Philippines will be expected to move through the middle South China Sea during 9-10 December. It then will weaken rapidly with no effect on Thailand.
Warning During 8-14 Dec, people in the upper Thailand should take care of your health and keep warm due to cool weather. All ship in the lower Gulf of Thailand from Surat Thani should proceed with caution.
