General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The rather strong high pressure remains cover upper Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. During 23-25 December, the strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and southern Thailand. More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain are expected over Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. People in the areas should beware of influence of accumulated rainfall.
The strong wind wave 2-4 meters high is likely in the Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats from Chumphon downward keep ashore throughout 24 December.
Cold weather, dropping by 1-3 C, with windy is likely over the upper country. Especially, the North and Northeast will receive cold with temperature below 15 C while some possible frost occurs on mountaintops.
