General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time During 24-25 December, the rather strong high extend it ridge over upper Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand affects the stronger northeast monsoon over the areas. Persistent rain and isolated heavy thundershower are expected over the South, especially in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. The low pressure cell over the south coast of Malaysia leads to torrential rain over Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. People should beware of influence of accumulated rainfall.
The strong wind wave 2-4 meters high is likely in the Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
Cold weather, slightly dropping, with windy is likely over the upper country. Especially, the North and Northeast will receive cold with temperature below 15 C while some possible frost occurs on mountaintops.
