General Situation During 29 December 2014 to 1 January 2015, the northeast monsoon across the South and the Gulf of Thailand will intensify. Scattered rain, as well as isolated heavy rain, will be likely over the lower South, especially in Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. People in the areas should beware of the severe condition due to influence of accumulative rainfall. The strong wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high. Residents along the coast should beware of inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats from Nakhon Si Thammarat past south keep ashore.
The strong high pressure area extends to the upper Northeastern Thailand. Cooler weather with windy is forecast dropping by 3-5 C.
