Weather Forecast During 29-31 Dec the rather strong high pressure from China extend to cover upper Thailand. Cooler weather and 2-3 C drops with windy are likely over the upper Thailand. The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf and southern Thailand. More rains and isolated heavy are expected over lower the South from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward while wind wave 2-4 meters high in the Gulf.
During 1- 3 Jan, another rather strong high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand. Cooler weather with 2-3 drops is expected over upper Thailand while less rain in the South. The strong wind wave 2-4 meter high will remain in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward.
During the New Yeas Holiday (31 Dec - 3 Jan), cooler weather with 4-6 C drops are likely over upper Thailand. Cold with temperature below 15 C is expected in the North and the Northeast while some possible frost occurs on mountaintops.
Warning During 29 Dec - 3 Jan, people in the upper Thailand should take care of your health and keep warm due to cool weather. During 29-31 Dec, people in the lower South from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should beware of influence of accumulated rainfall. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore throughout the period.
