Weather Forecast During 8-11 Jan, the rather strong high pressure from China extends to upper Thailand and the westerly trough moves across the North and upper Northeast. Thunderstorm, gusty wind is likely in upper country and isolated hail in the North and the Northeast. After that temperature will drop 6-8 C. The stronger northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf and southern Thailand. More rain is expected in the lower South and the wind wave 2-3 meter high in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat passing south.

Warning During 8-10 Jan, people in the upper Thailand especially in the North and the Northeast should beware of thunderstorm with hail and take care of your health due to cool weather. People in the lower South from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should beware of high sea surge into inshore. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore throughout the period.
