General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand to active low pressure cell in Tonkin Bay, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain over the country and isolated heavy rain are expected. People in the Northeast should beware flood condition during this period. The strong wind wave is expected 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea from Phuket upward. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

During 23-26 Jul, the southwest monsoon will weaken. The monsoon trough will move to across Myanmar and upper Laos. Decreasing rain is expected over Thailand.

Northern Part Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai,

Chiang Rai, Phayao, Lampang, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Westerly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain

mainly in Loei, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lum Phu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,

Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Central Part Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Uthai Thani,

Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Suphan Buri.

Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Eastern Part Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain mainly

in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 20-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-32 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers area.

Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi,

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain mainly

in Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 28-32 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Upper Andaman Sea from Phuket upward: Wave height 2-3 meters.

Lower Andaman Sea from Krabi downward: Wave height about 2 meters.

Metropolitan Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers.

Minimum Temperature 25-26 C. Maximum Temperature 30-32 C.
