General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar and Laos PDR through the low pressure over upper Vietnam. The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain remains over upper Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast and the East. People in risky areas should beware of possible flash flood in this period. The provinces include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Tak, Kamphang Phet, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom.
Tropical cyclone “KOMEN” over the upper Bengal is expected to make landfall over Bangladesh and move toward India. The storm has not a significant impact on Thailand.
