General Situation The monsoon trough lies across upper North of Thailand to low pressure cell in Tonkin Bay, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain remains over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast and the South West Coast. People in risky areas should beware of possible flash flood. The provinces include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Tak, Phetchabun, Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket. The wave is expected 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore during the period.

Typhoon “SOUDELOR” in the Pacific Ocean will head to the east coast of China during 7-8 Aug. The storm has not a significant impact on Thailand.

Northern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Lamphun, Tak and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 27-32 C.

Westerly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Central Part Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers

mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya,

Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi.

Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Eastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers

mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters.

Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi,

Pracuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

in Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 27-30 C.

Phuket upward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters.

Krabi downward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2meters.

Metropolitan Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers.

Minimum Temperature 24-25 C. Maximum Temperature 31-34 C.
