General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the upper North of Thailand to the low pressure cell in Tonkin Bay, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain remains overal country, as well as isolated heavy rain in the Northeast, the East and the South West Coast. People in risky areas should beware of possible flash flood. The provinces include Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket. The wind-waves are expected 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
Typhoon “SOUDELOR” in the Central Pacific will head to Fujian, China by 8 August. The storm has not a significant impact on Thailand.

in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Lamphun, Tak and Phetchabun.

Eastern Part Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain
in Chanthaburi and Trat.

Wave height about 2 meters and abover 2 meters in thundershower areas.
Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi,
Pracuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.
Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain
in Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.
Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 31-31 C.
Phuket upward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.
Krabi downward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2meters.
