Weather Forecast During 8-10 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across the North and Northeast of Thailand and Laos, and the strong southwest monsoon prevail across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain is likely over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the East and the upper South. The strong wind waves 2-3 meters high is expected in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand.
During 11-13 Aug, the monsoon trough remains across upper Thailand and upper Laos, and the moderate southwest monsoon prevail across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Rainfalls will continue over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the North,
the Northeast and the East. The wind waves about 2 meters high is expected in the Andaman Sea.
Typhoon “SOUDELOR” in the Pacific Ocean will move to Taiwan and made landfall at Fujian Provincial, China during 7-8 Aug. All travelers would check weather forecast before your departure. This storm has not a significant impact on Thailand.
Warning During 10-13 Aug, People in risky areas in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South should beware of heavy rain and flash flood. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore throughout the period.
