Weather Forecast During 18-19 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar and upper Vietnam, and the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Less rain is likely over Thailand during the period.
During 20-24 Aug, the monsoon trough will move to across the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand, and the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. More rain is expected over the country with isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South west Coast. The strong wind wave is expected in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand with 2-3 meters of wave height.
Typhoon “GONI” over the Pacific Ocean is expected to across Taiwan during 22-23 August. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The storm has not a significant impact on Thailand.
