General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand. The strengthening southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Increasing rain is expected over Thailand and heavy rain over upper South include Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Chumphon and Surat Thani. The wind-wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. All ships in the areas should proceed with caution.

Typhoon “GONI” over the Pacific Ocean is expected to move near Philippines and Taiwan during August 22-23. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The storm does not have a significant impact on Thailand.
